The stuff is only 5mm thick but it's soft, sturdy, shock- and water-resistant, and protects your laptop from bumps and bruises. Built NY even made their laptop bags attractive, with lots of colors and patterns to choose from. And when you're not using the bags, they flatten down to almost nothing in your suitcase. Added bonus: Neoprene is a lot more affordable than leather.
